I have lived in Houston for most of my life and I have a love-hate relationship with this city.
I have all of childhood friends here and there are a ton of good, affordable restaurants and recreational activities. However, the city has a ton of traffic and you definitely need a car to get around. The city is not walkable at all...
During the Summers, the heat is unbearable, but it is perfect during the Winter ranging from 35 °F to 80 °F.
I always say that Houston is a fine place to live, but not so much to visit!
